I love learning about natural products and actually amazed on the benefits it can give to everyone. I usually try my best not to take any medical prescription whenever I can and just take natural remedies instead life olive oil. I made a fwe reaserch about the origin of olive oil and share it on this blog.
Olive tree is originated in Asia, it has been cultivated over 3,000 years in Mediterranean countries, where much of the love crop is used to make olive oil. Olives are pitted and ground to a thick pulp. The pulp will then be press to remove the juices and place it in a centrifuge to separate the water from the oil.
One tablespoon of olive oil contains 120 calories and 14 grams, but the fat is mostly monounsaturated; it has a beneficial effect on blood cholesterol levels and is easily digested. In those countries where olive oil is consumed extensively, such as Greece, Italy and Spain, there is low incidence od cardiovascular disease. The mild vegetable mucilage in olive oil pretects the body's digestive tract. In old days, the used of olive oil helps heal the wounds. Today, it is considered a good remedy for skin problems and an efffective moisturizer.
